Bred by Heinrich Drögemüller (Germany, before 1887).
Introduced in Germany by Rosenhof Schultheis e.K. in 1887 as 'Kaiser Wilhelm der Siegreiche'.
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Kaiser Wilhelm'.

Bloom:
Deep yellow, carmine-pink shading, light yellow reverse.  Pink reflexes.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, very double, borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  Glossy foliage.  

Height: up to 6'7" (up to 200cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Hardy.  vigorous.

Notes:
Sangerhausen describes the color of Kaiser Wilhelm as pink to whitish yellow.
