Bred by Eugène Verdier fils aîne (France, 1865).
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Prince de Portia'.

Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Vermilion.  Strong fragrance.  Average diameter 4".  Large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.
