The Co. Weber & Scheuermann, Bolkenhain, brought some of the new originations of Dr. Krüger to the show. One of the darkest roses is probably 'Kynast'. Bloom velvety amaranth-red, the edges lightly ruffled, always solitary on long canes, very fragrant.

I ant to speak about a quite interesting seedling, which the Co. Weber & Scheuermann, who will introduce it into commerce like the abovementioned Freiburg II. I have seen blooms of it in summer and late autumn and was really astonished, to see such beautiful elongated, well double and dark buds and blooms, almost black towards the center; this is a very special rose which will interest everybody. I had long canes of 40 cm length with solityr buds, this variety is called 'Kynast'...
