'Allard' Misc. OGR, dy...a form or hybrid of R. xanthina. Includes description.
Book  (Nov 1994)  Page(s) 112.

'Allard' Rosa xanthina allardii Originated in the Botanic Garden at Lyon, France; listed by Messrs Hesse in 1927. I suspect it to be a seedling of R. x harisonii or of similar parentage, and it probably has no affinity with R. xanthina. It has similar leaves to R. x harisonii and thorny, dark wood; a bristly, squat receptacle, glandular calyx, and small down-curved prickles on the pedicel. The flowers are nearly double, with petaloid centre and yellow stigmata; true, bright yellow and a fresh scent. Probably 4 feet.
Book  (Nov 1994)  Page(s) 113.

'Ormiston Roy', Doorenbos, Holland, 1938. 'Allard' x Rosa pimpinellifolia. Mr Doorenbos tells me that this rose of his often produces blooms late in the summer as well as at the normal time. It appeared in the F2 generation and was named after a friend in Montreal. The well-formed, clear yellow, single flowers are beautifully veined. Large black-maroon heps and pedicels. Compact habit, about 4 feet. It is a parent of 'Golden Wings', q.v.
