Maybe not as strong as some of our newer roses but definitely worth growing. Definitely one to get if you are a collector of older rare roses.

The blooms define the variety. Really nice older form with a dark red color. The scent is amazing and that alone could justify growing this rose. Although my plant has not matured yet, it does like to try to bloom quite a bit (I have only allowed it to give me a few blooms as I want it to grow a little stronger). The blooms it gives me are quite large and tend to nod a bit because the stems are a little thinner than what they should be (might be because of age).

The bush is currently upright but this could change as it matures. Really nice foliage with average to above average disease resistance - not too bad. So far not too tall. I currently give this rose winter protection (zone 5a) but it shows little winter damage (many varieties are damaged even with protection).

Definitely a recommendation for those looking for older red HTs.
