I have two neither had winter protection, one planted in a rock garden the other plain dirt and they made it through a 120 inch of snow in a zone 5 winter. Also this is a top 10 rated rose at one of my local nurseries northlandrosarium so I am not the only one growning this successfully this in zone 5.

I wish I had known about this before !! Alas, I bought Honey Bouquet as own-root instead and it died through my 1st zone 5a winter. Really appreciate info. on hardiness for your zone 5b. Thank you !!

I think that zone 7 is incorrect, I've seen other sources give this rose a zone 5a rating.

One of my favorites from the romantica line. Blooms are large even in the August heat. It does get some black spot. If you live in the Southeast like me I suggest planting this rose in the very back of beds. I did not and some canes are in the 9 feet range and block out other roses.

good advice! I so often forget about ultimate size when I am merrily planting according to color!

Does anyone know how this rose behaves in cool summer climates? I can give it all day sun on a southern exposure. I'd be grateful for any comments or suggestions. I want a fragrant yellow for the back of my rose garden. Thanks, Oldblond

I grew this rose in SEATTLE WA - summers don't get much cooler, - I remember going to 4th of July in Parkas! Anyway, it had full Southern exposure, so it got what sun there was for about 7 -8 hours per day - and did very well - lots of blooms and very tall! Good Luck - ps - I now live in Mississippi - no black spot, no mildew - we have had our first blooming of roses (4/24) and they were all spectacular!
