Book (1944) Page(s) 69. Terry Honeybun, Victoria. Mayfair: Rose pink, lighter at the edges, with fine shape, growth and foliage. Lacks perfume. A good Rose.
Book (1943) Page(s) 80. Dr. A. S. Thomas. An Exhibitor's Opinion. Mayfair: Clean, hard growth; free blooming. Flowers are very good in colour and form, but so far (three first-year plants) rather small. If it comes bigger I will plant a lot of them.
Book (1940) p91. John Poulsen. NZ. South Island Roses. Mayfair Good growth, but the foliage has shown a tendency to mildew. It is, however, a lovely rose of good shape and colour.
p123. Mr. S. J. Bisdee. Tasmanian Rose Notes. Mayfair is still very disappointing as regards colour, being a very washy pale pink. The plant is growing very nicely and will get another chance.
