Bred by Wilhelm J.H. Kordes II (1891-1976) (Germany, 1949).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Henry Morse & Sons in 1949 as 'City of Norwich'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1951 as 'City of Norwich'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Scarlet - crimson.  Moderate, sweet fragrance.  35 petals.  Average diameter 6".  Very large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
