Mrs. Klimenko goes on to say something about her methodology. Now at first she says they sowed seeds from open pollinated material, and they got no positive results, and only when control of pollination was practised between more recent cultivars were valuable seedlings produced. For example, she made very extensive use of 'Peace' and of the floribunda 'Kordes Sondermeldung' (Independence') which is rechristened 'Nezhenka'.
