The Climbing Polyantha, Red Explorer, a sport of 'Edith Cavell', is vigorous and you can almost always find a cluster of blooms on it. It is one of the rambler type that does not mildew, and I think replaces the old 'Crimson Rambler'.

New Roses 1933.  Red Explorer (Clb. Mult.  Penny 1928) A climbing sport from 'Miss Edith Cavell'.  The plant is covered in the spring with thick clusters of small, rich red flowers.  Growth is much branched and spreading, similar to 'Dorothy Perkins', and it makes a wonderful pergola rose or bank covering. 4/- each.
Blooms identical to dwarf; if free flowering this will be an acquisition.
