‘Geranium Red’. Own roots at Northcliffe, W.A. Nov 1, 2021. Provenance: Merle Davis, Bridgetown in 2006. Amazing that such a miniscule plant can even produce a bloom. I should move it to a pot, and then elsewhere. For a colour scheme that suits it, this can be a superb bloom.

14 April 2022. Livermore, CA. This own-root plant has stayed at around 2' x 3' for years now and is a faithful bloomer with a wonderful scent.

Geranium red takes full-sun at 90 F well. Petals are firm and don't scorch in the heat, and lasts long in the vase. The scent can easily compete with the best Austin rose. Even the faded & old bloom looks good !! Very healthy in a pot. Never see blackspot or diseases on this one, be it hot & dry or fall rain.
