Origin:
Bred by Gerald Adriaan Van Rossem (Netherlands, 1920).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1922 as 'Burgermeister Sandberg'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Coral-pink, silver(y) center.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, very double, borne mostly solitary, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, dense.  Large, medium green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
The Sandberg family of Elburg, Netherlands have produced several mayors since the second half of the 17th century. Contemporary mayors of the Breeder were Heribert Willem Aleid Sandberg (1867-1945), mayor of Zevenhuizen, or Willem Bernardus Sandberg (1876-1918), mayor of Haarlem; or Cornelis Johannes Sandberg (1883-1945), mayor of leuvenum.
