Charmaine and 'Maud Gladstone' are of rather tall growth and are very similar in colour, being pink with salmon shading.

Charmaine Poly. (Burbage Nurs., 1929). 'Evelyn Thornton' x 'Evelyn Thornton'. Type, 'Orleans Rose'. Bud double, open, full, very lasting, fragrant, pink tinged salmon, opening to pleasing shade of pink, borne in long arching spray on long, strong stem. Foliage abundant, medium size, bright green, glossy, disease-resistant. Growth very vigorous (2 ft.), branching, bushy; profuse, continuous bloomer all season. Very hardy. Award of Merit, R.H.S., 1928.
