USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.

Notes:
Despite the "Breeder's comments" above, this rose was almost certainly bred by Prinz Max's mother, Duchess Elsa von Württenberg (later Elsa von Schaumburg-Lippe).

Prinz Wilhelm Eugen Georg Konstantin Maximilian zu Schaumburg-Lippe (March 28, 1898 Wels/Austria - February 4, 1974 Salzburg/Austria) from the Bohemian line of the Schaumburg-Lippe family. He grew up in the Villa Berg in Stuttgart/Germany and Schloss Pfaffstätt/Austria.
During 1926-1938, Prinz Max took part in Grand Prix-racing. His best classification was in the 24-hours race of Spa/Belgium in 1938, where he won in the class until 2000cc.
