Gruss an Berlin HT. (Greetings), (R. Kordes) A pure clear red, with a wide flaring flower of about 35 petals. Vigorous upright growth, very free flowering, and lightly fragrant. A good garden rose, and could have possibilities for the exhibitor as well.

Gruss an Berlin, HT.  (Kordes, 1964) A really good and apparently consistent light crimson rose. A suffusion of orange, especially low on the petals, makes it very bright. Twenty-five petals - an extra row would improve the lasting properties. Listed by some nurserymen as 'Greetings' The translation of the name is "Greetings to Berlin". This is a fine example of the dangers and errors into which we can fall by allowing any translations or renamings. There are already several other 'Gruss an -'  names, each a greeting to a different city, and any one of them could be entitled equally, though illegally, to be called 'Greetings'. Vigorous, bushy growth.
