Bred by Peter Lambert (Germany, 1916).
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Light pink.  Silvery pink, salmon-red center.  Strong fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Hardy.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Probably dedicated to Otto Eduard Weddigen (1882-1915), German submarine commander in World War I. His submarine U29 was sunk off Scotland by HMS Dreadnought, with loss of all marines on board.
