Bred by Modeste Guérin (France, 1855).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1876 as 'Madame de Vatry'.

Class:

Tea.

Bloom:

Deep pink, lighter edges. Moderate fragrance. Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, upright. Large, semi-glossy foliage.

Growing:

USDA zone 4b through 9b. Hardy.
