'Madame de Vatry' rose Description

Bloom:
Deep pink, lighter edges. Moderate fragrance. Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, upright. Large, semi-glossy foliage.
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b. Hardy.

'Modeste Guérin' as a synonym of 'Madame de Vatry' is due to a confusion where the Breeder's name was regarded as a synonym. Pierre Guillot states that 'Madame de Vatry' is a descendant of 'Adam'.- see References.
