Bred by Louis Lens (1924-2001) (Belgium, before 1973).
Introduced in Belgium by Louis Lens N.V./Pépinières Louis Lens SA in 1975 as 'Violet Hood'.

Bloom:
Mauve or purple blend.  18 petals.  Average diameter 1".  Small, semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Arching.  
Height of 39" to 4' 1" (100 to 125 cm).  Width of up to 2' (up to 60 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for landscape or shrub.  Vigorous.
