Origin:
Bred by Léon Houry (France, before 1914).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1915 as 'Radium'.
Class:
Polyantha.  
Bloom:
Pink, yellow center, silver(y) highlights.  Medium, double (17-25 petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

Notes:
Radium was discovered by Pierre and Marie Curie 21 December 1898. Marie was born Maria Sklodowska in Warsaw, Poland, on 7 November 1867. She died in France on 4 July 1934.
