Bred by Eugene S. Boerner (United States, circa 1958).
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1960 as 'Hawaii'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1961 as 'Hawaii'.
Introduced in France by Vilmorin-Andrieux in 1963 as 'Hawaii'.

Hybrid Tea.  

Orange - coral.  Strong, raspberry, spice fragrance.  33 petals.  Average diameter 6".  Very large, full (26-40 petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  

Upright.  Leathery foliage.  

USDA zone 7b through 10b.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
