Helene Schoen  HT. (Von Abrams) Pointed bud and large bright red flowers which remain shapely. About sixty petals, a good grower, and free flowering. ('Multnomah' x 'Charles Mallerin').

p126. Dr. A. S. Thomas, New Roses in Victoria.
Helene Schoen. HT. (Von Abrams, 1963)  'Multnomah' x 'Charles Mallerin'. I have grown this rose for five years and have shown it several times but appear not to have reported on it. Perfectly formed dark red show blooms with big thick petals and strong stems. The plant is fairly tall with rather sparse dark foliage. Not a free bloomer. More useful as a show rose than for garden display.
