[From "Felicitas Svejda: Who changed the way Northern Countries see Roses", by Claire Laberge & Roch Rollin, pp. 7-12]
....four Rugosa-Chinensis hybrids were developed as parents for potential winter hardy and disease resistant roses, but not released to the trade: they were registered in 1978. The first three with Rugosa as pistillate parent have yellow-green foliage tinted purple when unfolding and very fragrant flowers:
'Bonavista' 1965-1978 = ('Schneezwerg' × 'Némésis');
'Elmira' 1970-1978 = ('Schneezwerg' × 'Old Blush');
'Moncton' 1965-1978 = ('Schneezwerg' × unknown China).
