'Cli. Spartan'. Climbing floribunda. (1964) (Pat. 1616) 6-8 feet. A strong, well foliaged plant, generous with its long stemmed, burnt orange to deep coral buds and flowers that are fine for cutting. The well formed buds open to flat, 3 inch flowers with many petals that swirl and curl as do those of some of the old roses. Aside from its beauty, 'Spartan' is outstanding for its strong, spicy, old rose scent. $3.75.
