Origin:
Bred by Dr. Keith W. Zary (United States, 2000).
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. in 2002 as 'Passionate'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Red.  Mild, sweet fragrance.  25 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 5.5".  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered, reflexed, ruffled bloom form.  Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Tall, thornless (or almost), upright.  Medium, glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 4' to 6' (120 to 185cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 5b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  Hardy.  vigorous.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

Modern Roses shows the pollen parent as "hybrid tea seedling." The patent application describes the pollen parent as "JACbor, U. S. Plant Pat. No. 6668." Based on patent application information, the patented hybrid tea JACbor has been added to HMF and shown as the pollen parent.
