Are you sure that Souvenir de M. Mulnard and Souvenir de Madame E. Mulnard are not the same rose? Shouldn't they be merged? Both were introduced the same year, surely the breeder won't release two roses with nearly identical names?

I'll bet you he would if he secretly thought she was an absolute dish. Or perhaps the 1912 rose was for the wife, and the 1915 rose was for the husband, Maurice, Matthew or Max Mulnard. They are not quite from the same year so I don't think we have enough evidence to merge them. We have from Brent Dickerson's 'Old Roses. The Master List', 2nd ed. 2007: Page 605. 'Souvenir de M. Mulnard' (Dubreuil, 1915). HT. Salmon pink. Page 607. 'Souvenir de Mme. E. Mulnard' (Dubreuil, 1912). HT. Saffron flesh., rev. carmine, silvery reflections.
But then again - Rosenlexikon 1936 called 'Souvenir de Mme. E. Mulnard' salmon pink.
