En Amérique, The American Florist annonce l'apparition d'une rose nouvelle désignée soirs le nom de Urania, obtenue par M. H. Walsh of Woods Holl, Massachussetts.
Ce serait le résultat du croisement de la rose American Beauty (lisez Madame Ferdinand Jamin), avec Mademoiselle Suzanne Marie Rodocanachi.  La plante a conservé tous les caractères de Madame Ferdinand Jamin, sauf le coloris qui en diffère.  Elle possède aussi une odeur pénétrante des plus agréables.
