Origin:
Bred by Jean Laffay (France, before 1848).
Introduced in Australia by Exotic Nursery (Australia) in 1851 as 'Robin Hood'.
Class:
Hybrid China, Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red to light purple.  Large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
