Discovered by Baudry / Baudry & Hamel (France, before 1849). Discovered by Frédéric Schneider (France, before 1849).
Introduced in Australia by John J. Rule, Victoria Nursery in 1860 as 'Madame Campbell d'Islay'.

Bloom:
Pink, carmine-red mottling, violet shading.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
