The rose named Olga in Roseto Botanico “Carla Fineschi” was bred, according to the label, by Domenico Mansuino in 1978. How it cames it to be attributed to NIRP it is not clear.
It may be relevant the fact that on the 20th of November 1991 Paul Pekmez applied in Italy for the registration of the Trademark OLGA (n. RM1991004063) and the registration (n. 000614502) was issued on the 30th of December 1993. Actually Pekmez applied in Italy for tenths of roses and many applications were lately retired/rejected because those roses were already patented by the true breeders ....

The NIRP rose is said on the internet to be "true pink" and I suspect it may in fact be one by Delforge in 1988, but I have nothing to support that conclusion. We've opened a new file for the Mansuino 1978 rose and moved your photos. (Love the label photo! But it works.)
