In your reference from 2000, the work cited ("Roll Call," by Brent C. Dickerson, 2000, p. 284) does not (mis-) spell the roses's name 'Philipp Paulia'; the work cited spells the name correctly 'Philipp Paulig'.

In Modern Roses XI, this rose is spelled Philipp Paulig. It is found in the Sangerhausen catalogue of 1976 as: Philipp Paulig (P. Lambert 1908) HP, dar^k red, large, double, moderately fragrant, high. It is no longer in the latest Sangerhausen catalogue. |
