Very strong, sweet fragrance on this variety. Lots and lots of petals and a heavy bloom, that can take ages to open. Not in a great position to comment on it further, as my particular bush has not been all that well cared for and as a result hasn't bloomed well at all of late. It's also pretty much covered by sap-sucking "rose scale", which we have in almost plague proportions here at the moment (they even get into the worm farm and composts, if there's bark or cardboard, etc, in them). It's in a smallish pot still and has dried out a lot I think, which has made it more susceptible to attack. One reason for that (the drying out) is that I'm pretty sure it's a very strong growing variety and as it such has needed more water than I've given it.
Blooms aren't necessarily "show form", like Aotearoa (New Zealand), or Heaven Scent (Memorial Day), but are similarly strongly perfumed and it's apparently a very prolifically flowered bush.
Probably worth growing for its fragrance and prolific flowering alone, I'd suggest.

I am trying to upload a photo of Poetry but the system is not keeping the file once I press the upload button. I have uploaded numerous photos previously so I'm not sure what is going wrong now.

Are you making sure to specify a photo composition type - eg, Bloom, whole plant, etc.

If you omit this it will redisplay the form and your file name is removed for security reasons.
