Bloom:
Deep pink, carmine-pink reverse. Average diameter 2.5". Medium, double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Arching, armed with thorns / prickles. 5 to 7 leaflets.

Notes:
François-Achille Bazaine (February 13, 1811 Versailles - September 23, 1888 Madrid), Marshall of France since September 5, 1864. Hero of many wars in Africa, Crimea, Mexiko he capitualted against the Germans in 1870 and was later condemned to death by the French for treason. He escaped 1874 and lived in Madrid until his death.
