Origin:
Bred by Unknown (before 1824).
Introduced in France by Louis Noisette in circa 1824 as 'Coccinea'.
Class:
Hybrid Multiflora, Rambler.  
Bloom:
Carmine-pink.  Small, double (17-25 petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
7 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Apparently, there was a larger and a dwarf form of this plant; see REFERENCES.

According to some REFERENCES, 'Coccinea' is a synonym of 'Grevillei'. Possibly identical with 'Russeliana' (Scarlet Grevillei). 'Coccinea' was brought ca. 1824 from England by Louis Noisette.
