Super rose. Beautiful, very glossy lighter green foliage, bloom for me is somewhat on the small side but production is high and the scent superlative. It is a huge honor to have a plant variety named after a person and that I get but sometimes I wish there were no more roses named after people only because I, and speaking just for myself, I like the more abstreuse, suggestive names. Nothing for or against Maria Shriver (or Barbra Streisand or Nancy Reagan or Chris Evertt or Barbara Bush or Rosie O'Donnell or Julia Child and so on)....but when I see a Chris Everett rose, which I do think is a great rose actually, I immediately see a tennis court and the woman herself and all that, a Nike tennis shoe ad pretty much............I don't want to "see" that when I walk into my garden, no matter how much I may like the dignitary/celebrity/what have you. Just my opinion. Roses have such personalities of their own! "Suggest" something in the name: "Pristine," "KokoLoko," "Sunset Celebration".....let my mind fill in the blanks and specifics. When roses were named "Mrs. Herbert Stevens" and so on at least, since none of us KNEW the woman, hey, it was/is possible to see the WOMAN as a blousy white haired frantic bloomer who likes a lot of Miracle-Gro!!!!!!

But I love the story of Eleanor Roosevelt recounting (I suspect with glee) that she was no good in a bed, but fine up against a wall ...

Citrus fragrance is correct. I smelled it last week. VERY white. Clear white. Makes floribunda-type clusters on a moderate-sized plant. Pretty bloom form. Thin petals. Blackspot, however.

I would have liked this rose a lot more if they had not given in a politicized name.
