I purchased my rose in 2006 from a local nursery, and she has been outstanding in bloom production ever since! However, she is BS prone in my garden and does require spraying. Fortunately, she responds favorably to organic fungicides. So far so good!

I agree that this new color is quite alluring! I saw this at Regan's Nursery in the Bay Area, CALIF. They displayed many of bushes of BURGUNDY IceBerg, along with YELLLOW SIMPLICITY. It was quite a pairing! They had GRAHAM THOMAS in the center to give the display its height. I was truly overwhelmed by the beauty of this colorful display at the nursery's entrance. 

I became intrigued with Burgundy Iceberg this year when I came across it listed as a new own-root variety from Northland Rosarium.  I ran an Internet search on the rose and came up with some sumptuous photos from the Australian rose communtity, touting Burgundy Iceberg as an outstanding new variety that had already garnered major awards in its little time on the market.  Excited, I ordered two plants from Northland and put them in the ground this spring.  Both have rooted quickly and have started to branch out freely, with already a couple of flushes of bloom, in the space of only a few months.  I sense this is a very vigorous, free-branching plant, with a similar habit to parents Brilliant Pink Iceberg and the original Iceberg itself.  The relative thornlessness of this genus is a pleasure to deal with when dealing with these roses 'hands-on'.  Plus they are very generous with bloom (understatement).  They are among the healthiest in my garden too.  The coloration of this Burgundy variety is quite breathtaking.  As a mature full-size specimen, it will undoubtedly be one of the standout  varieties in my garden.
