Speaking of John Starnes, does anyone know if his alba still grows anywhere?

I never heard whether anyone stepped in to try and rescue any of the genetics he created.

It happens a lot that things just disappear.

I remember going by the old Sequoia Nursery location which I knew for decades and couldn't even identify where it had been.

How very sad. The Brenda Mowery genetics are Alba Maxima x Alfred Colomb.

In some cases it takes a lifetime of experience and good luck to pull off some of these crosses.

Yes, very sad.

At least he proved it's a way forward for others should they choose..

We do have it listed, but the listing of John's 11 roses is not ideally shown. I don't know why not and will point Admin in the direction of this post.
