Introduced in United States by Armstrong Nursery in 1964 as 'Lilac Dawn'.

Bloom:
Mauve or purple blend.  Flowers lavender-pink to lilac.  Lilac fragrance.  Average diameter 2.5".  Medium, very full (41+ petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Pointed buds.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Light green, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  Vigorous.
