Why are there 2 code names for the same rose?

I can subtly see the difference between Blushing KO and Pink KO, but the 2 Pink KO's seem virtually identical???

We have:
Pink Knock Out. (syn Rodin). MEIgadraz 2000. Intro by Meilland 2005.
Pink Knock Out. RADcon. Discovered by Israel Montesino, 2001. Intro by Conard-Pyle 2005
Blushing Knock Out. RADyod. Discovered by John Bell, 2001

It seems Mr. Radler might be the middle man, finding them from people like Montesino and Bell and then licensing them out to Meilland. But I really don't know and am guessing.
I have also queried a Radler rose with the odd code of MEIradena but there has been no reply.

It's definitely an unusual case. In the older times of patents, there were a few copies of essentially the same thing, as sports, under different names. These have the same name, which made me stop and think, "What... the...heck???" lol

Good observations and questions which I hope to answer succinctly.
Conard-Pyle/Star Roses & Plants is the USA and Canada introducer of my varieties.
Meilland is the introducer of my introductions for the rest of the world.
There exists a standard when contactually developing a legal agreement between developer and introducer of a rose. Through this standard it is customary that any sports occurring for a grower under license are legally the property of the developer.
It appears that while 'RADcon' and Rodin™/'Meigadraz' look identical, they are different sports which grow differently in different climates. 'Conard-Pyle chose 'Radcon' while Meilland chose Rodin™ because of these observed differences.
I will be seeing Alain Meilland shortly and will confirm that what I am saying is completely true. Stay tuned and if I haven't replied in a few weeks, remind me. I am dealing with a few too many irons in the fire and things tend to get away from me. But this is what I am and what keeps me young. Stay tuned for more.

Aha - now I understand. We have.
Knock Out. RADrazz. 1998. Bred by William Radler. Intro by Conard-Pyle in 2000 & Meilland in 2001
Pink Knock Out. (syn Rodin). MEIgadraz 2000 sport of Knock Out. Discovered by Meilland, Intro by Meilland 2000.
Pink Knock Out. RADcon. sport of Knock Out. Discovered by Israel Montesino, 2001. Intro by Conard-Pyle 2005
Blushing Knock Out. RADyod. sport of Knock Out. Discovered by John Bell, 2001. Intro by Star Roses 2004.

One day when you can catch your breath, it would be great if HelpMeFind could show more details of how the two ‘Pink Knock Out’s perform in the difference climates. Thank you so much, Will, for your clarification.

Amazing! Thanks for responding.

Yeah, the exact differentiation would be helpful. Imagine: In 40 years from now, someone trying to ID their rose in a landscape.

Sorry that I missed your inquiry about 'Meiradena'. 'Meiradena' - Icecap™ - Creme Chantilly. 'Meiradena' is the product of a joint breeding effort between Meilland International and myself. Meilland is using my breeding stock to help speed up the process of getting superior rose varieties based on my genetics out to the rose world. Icecap™ is the first result of this combined effort. I am very excited that what I have begun is being recognized and improved upon. The future is looking very rosy for people like me who want our cake and eat it too.
