I got this rose sort of by accident from Vintage and they said I could keep it while they would send me the correct rose. I love this rose! Slight mildew in early spring but blooms steadily and makes a nice cut flower. Would look good planted next to Mme. Antoine Mari.

Yes, this synonymy is listed in their book, the Vintage Gardens Book of Roses. Please see the References tab. It is always possible they have revised their opinion. I suggest you send an email, if the information is critical.

thx cass!
i've got 'frances grates tea' yesterday and was astonished about her presumed identity with 'fiddleton cherry pink' which i desire a lot, but as it is available only as custom root, and nobody knows about future of vintage, i was so to speak glad to hear that i have obtained two in one...
i'm yet aware of you warning about her disease affinity - but lets proove up in my climate - i will report about.

it's a wonderful little gem.
vintage has confirmed fiddletown cherry being at least extremely similar. gregg wrote that he doesn't see any differences between the two cultivars.
