'Mme Caroline Testout, Climber'    Climber Pink    Remontant   P3   H4    *
One of the earlier Climbing Hybrid Teas, and one of the more vigorous. It has gone straight up to the roof of countless houses, surrounding bedroom windows and gutters with bright pink flowers, sometimes inconsiderately, having regard to the colour of the masonry. The lower part of the plant is commonly an uncompromising array of thorny stems, not a leaf to be seen. But it is a rose to flower freely and long, so that sweeping pink petals from the terrace can be a regular task. It came  from Chauvry of Bordeaux  in 1901.
