Bred by Gilbert Nabonnand (France, 1878).

Tea.  
Bloom:
White, light pink shading, violet highlights.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
