Origin:
Bred by Robert Neil Rippetoe (United States, 2006).
Class:
Hybrid Californica, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Violet and pink.  Mild to strong, clove, sweet fragrance.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Medium, long sepals, decorative buds.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Can be used for shrub or specimen.  Hardy.  flowers drop off cleanly.  heat tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  
Breeder's notes:
Blooms singly and in clusters. The buds are very long with elegant elongated sepals. I expect excellent disease resistance, beautiful Fall color and hardiness at least to zone 6, possibly 5.

Notes:
I received seed for this cultivar from Kim Rupert at the Great Rosarian's of the World lecture in January 2006 at the Huntington Libarary and Botanical Garden in San Marino, CA where Dr. Viru Viraraghavan spoke regarding his work with evergreen species for warm climates.

Hips were attached to cuttings of the seed parent that I asked Kim to share. The seed was sown unchilled.
