Origin:
Bred by Rudolf Geschwind (1829-1910) (Austria-Hungary (former), before 1909).
Introduced in Germany by Peter Lambert in 1909 as 'Alice Rauch'.
Class:
Hybrid Multiflora, Hybrid Polyantha.  
Bloom:
Pink, violet shading.  Large, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  Blue-green foliage.  

Height: 8'2" (250cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Hardy.
