Bred by Rudolf Geschwind (1829-1910) (Austria-Hungary (former), 1889).
Introduced in Luxembourg by Ketten Frères/Bros./Gebrüder in 1890 as 'Wilhelm Liffa'.
Class:
China / Bengale, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red, crimson center.  Moderate, centifolia fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  
Habit:
Medium.  

Height: up to 39" (up to 100cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Wilhelm Liffa of Korpona (today: Krupina in Slovakia) was the father-in-law of Geschwind's two sons. - see References.
