Origin:
Bred by Alain Meilland (1940-....) (France, before 2004).
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 2007 as 'Crimson Sky'.
Introduced in France by Meilland International (after 1997) in 2009 as 'Negresco'.
Class:
Climber, Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Vermilion.  Fire engine red.  Mild, apple fragrance.  38 petals.  Average diameter 4.25".  Large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, old-fashioned bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall, climbing.  Semi-glossy, dark green, dense foliage.  3 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 8' to 12' (245 to 365cm).  Width: up to 5' (up to 150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b and warmer.  Can be used for garden or landscape.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..  Remove unproductive wood every third year or so.

The female parent (i.e., the seed parent) of the new variety was the product of the cross of the `Delsap` variety (non-patented in the United States) and the `Meideuji` variety (non-patented in the United States). The male parent (i.e., the pollen parent) was the product of the cross of the `Kortello` variety (non-patented in the United States) and the `Delmur` variety (non-patented in the United States)....The rose plant of the new variety was approximately two-and-a-half years of age
