Bred by Jean-Baptiste André (fils) Guillot (1827-1893) (France, 1872).
Introduced in France by Guillot/Roseraies Pierre Guillot in 1881 as 'Mignonette'.
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1897 as 'Mignonette'.

Polyantha.  
Bloom:
Light pink, ages to white.  Moderate, clove fragrance.  Average diameter 1".  Small, semi-double to double, in large clusters, flat, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Short, thornless (or almost), upright.  Small, dark green foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 18" to 3' (45 to 90cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Hardy.
