The rose in the photo of 'Hippolyte' does not appear to be a Tea rose. Furthermore, the description here is of a cream and pink" flower, which the rose in the photo is not. However, Wm Prince in his catalogue included within his MANUAL OF ROSES, 1846, describes the colors and "white and sulphur". p. 7

Agree. We've taken the liberty of moving it to the gallica, Parmentier's <1842 'Hippolyte' page.
