Bred by Maurice-Augustin Bizard (France, 1833).
Class:
Tea.  
Bloom:
Red.  Center petals mottled white.  Average diameter 3.5".  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
