Origin:
Discovered by H. W. Mees (United Kingdom, 1907).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1911 as 'Nova Zembla'.
Class:
Hybrid Rugosa, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Light pink to white.  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 4".  Large, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall, climbing, upright.  

Height: 6' to 10' (185 to 305cm).  Width: up to 5' (up to 150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b and warmer.  Vigorous.
