Old Glory BENday  Strange progeny – cross between tall HT ‘Harmonie’ & mini ‘Rise ’n Shine’! She grows vigorously & produces the long pointed buds on strong, sturdy stems. The colour is deep orange-pink with a yellow base to each petal.

'Old Glory' (BENday); Benardella 1988; 'Rise 'n Shine' x 'Harmonie'; bright red; 15 reports on 21plants; 1-6 years; 50cms; 6.9 rating. A tall upright growing plant with rather large light red blooms of reasonable form at the early stage. The flowers open quite fast, some reporters like it at the full open stage others find it unattractive and ragged. Plants are healthy and the repeat of flowers is slow. Apart from a Northland grower who likes the colour and form, other reporters have not been greatly impressed. Few reports in recent years and only from the North Island.

A tall upright growing plant with rather large light red blooms of reasonable form at the early stage. The flowers open quite fast. Some reporters like it at the full open stage; others find it unattractive. Plants are healthy and the repeat of flowers is slow. Apart from a Northland grower, who likes the colour and form, other reporters are not greatly impressed at this stage. Reports only from the North Island.
